Exams - GCSE
GCSE stands for General Certificate of Secondary Education and is the basis qualification of the English education system. GCSEs are primarily targeted at secondary school pupils, but are also suitable for adults. The GCSE Dutch was withdrawn in Summer 2018
While the GCSE Dutch has been withdrawn, the Certificate Dutch as a Foreign Language (CNaVT) is the internationally recognised equivalent for Dutch.
The CNaVT provides a series of qualifications that start at a strong GCSE level and continue up to a bilingual standard. A student of a GCSE standard would be expected to be between the A1 and A2 levels. They could aim to take the "A2 - Maatschappelijk Informeel (INFO)" exam.
